BENNINGTON SELECT BOARD MEETING BENNINGTON TOWN OFFICE - CONFERENCE ROOM 205 SOUTH STREET BENNINGTON, VERMONT 05201 MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2010 MINUTES BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Lodie Colvin-Chair; Sharyn Brush-Vice-Chair; John Zink; Jason Morrissey; Joseph Krawczyk; Chris Oldham and Matt Maroney. ALSO PRESENT: Stuart Hurd-Town Manager and Nancy Lively-Recording Secretary. At 5:30 P.M., Lodie Colvin called the meeting to order. 1.MINUTES - FEBRUARY 8, 2010 Sharyn Brush moved and Chris Oldham seconded to approve the Minutes of February 8, 2010 as presented. The motion carried unanimously 2. WARRANTS The warrants were circulated for signatures. 3. CITIZENS None. 4. 2010 LIQUOR AND TOBACCO LICENSE APPLICATIONS The 2010 Liquor License Renewal Applications and the 2010 Tobacco License Renewal Applications Approval Sheet was circulated for signatures on the following: 2010 Liquor License Renewal Applications - First Class Renewals 1.Pangaea 2010 Liquor License Renewal Applications - Second Class Renewals 1.Camelot Country Store 2.Cumberland Farms #8006 3.CVS Pharmacy #337 4.Hannaford Food & Drug Store 5.Powers Market 6.Walmart Store #2289 2010 Tobacco License Renewal Applications 1.Cumberland Farms #8006 2.CVS Pharmacy #337 3.Hannaford Food & Drug Store 4.Powers Market Walmart Store #2289 5. MANAGER'S REPORT (NIMS Adoption Document) Mr. Hurd explained that, in order to qualify for Justice and FEMA grants, the Town must adopt the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as the basis for all incident management in the Town. We presently have six employees who have completed the Level 1 NIMS training and we are compliant in all other areas. Sharyn Brush moved and John Zink seconded to adopt and waive the reading of the NIMS Adoption Document as presented and to authorize the Chair to sign on behalf of the Board. The motion carried unanimously. Mr. Hurd circulated the Revised Sign Ordinance for signatures. 6. OTHER BUSINESS Mr. Krawczyk stated that there is a bill in the House that treats mobile homes like real estate and should be helpful in the 'trailers skipping out on their taxes' incidents. Mr. Krawczyk noted that Bennington had received kudos at the State level for their work in mapping out the river corridors. 7. EXECUTIVE SESSION A. UNION CONTRACT ISSUE B.CONTRACT ISSUE At 5:36 P.M., Sharyn Brush moved and John Zink seconded to go into Executive Session to discuss a Union Contract Issue and a Contract Issue.
