MADE in THE SHIRES TV SERIES
“Made In The Shires” and it’s variations (Bennington Made, Explore The Shires) is a behind-the-scenes tv series that showcases the unique businesses, communities and landscape of The Shires of Vermont located in Southwestern Vermont. Similar in format to Discovery Science’s “How It’s Made” and ABC News’ “Made in America,” the production is both modern and intriguing. This show is all about what it means for our members who “make things in The Shires!” From adventure parks, to great eats, to world-renowned brands, to interesting people, this show takes the viewer on an exploration of the culture, people and region.
It’s predecessor, “Bennington Made,” of which Explore The Shires grew out of, was an award-winning local series developed by The Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce and CAT-TV. Most notably Bennington Made: Madison Brewing won a 2017 Silver Telly Award and Bennington Made: Vermont Wooden Blocks won a 2017 Bronze Telly Award. The series was also named as a Top 5 Finalist in the 3rd Annual Chamber Innovation Award Competition.
