Mark your calendar for June 3. It's the first ever combined Cancer Center Community Crusaders Day of Celebration and National Cancer Survivors Day at SVMC. There will be an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. cupcake tasting, raffles and prize drawings, music, and kids’ activities like inflatable bounce houses and face painting continue throughout the day.

You can also tour the Cancer Center’s newest addition, the linear accelerator, with Matthew Vernon, MD, radiation oncologist, each hour 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Finally, survivors who received treatment at SVRCC and their families are especially invited to a complimentary lunch buffet 12 – 2 p.m.

Food will also be available for purchase. All funds raised by the Cancer Center Community Crusaders stay in the communities of Bennington and Windham counties in Vermont and nearby New York and Massachusetts. Patients need not receive treatment at Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center to be eligible for funds.
