Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce Unveils New Logo and Brand
The Southwestern Vermont Chamber Board of Directors last Thursday (May 21, 2020) voted unanimously to accept a new logo and design for the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce in a year-long branding process.
The design process began last September under staff guidance and a first draft was presented to the board at our November retreat. Feedback and comments were given and we went back to finalize the design which was presented to the board last week.
We want to thank one of our trusted members and designers for the chamber, Joe Frey of Anchored Media for working with our team to develop something that really shows the full Shires of Southwestern Vermont.
When looking at the logo, the circle ribbon around the logo that incorporates the Southwestern Vermont Chamber name, along with circular dots joining the location and the identity represent the circular nature of our region, our Vermont seasons, the revolution of old and new. The circle also represents the "togetherness" and "oneness" our businesses have as they are members of one of the most powerful chambers in the state.
The bountiful Battenkill River is the dark blue which follows the iconic Shires of Vermont Byway (Route 7a) which is light blue as you move along from Southshire to Northshire.
The Courthouse on the left is the Bennington Courthouse. It is an actual outline of the courthouse and signifies one of The Shires.
The Bennington Battle Monument stands tall in honor of the 240+ years that the full region (both Bennington and Manchester Shires) fought off threats and invaders.
As you look at the logo, on your way to the Manchester Courthouse (also an actual outline), you go past the famous Arlington Covered Bridge. The bridge signifies the Chamber and our partners bridging the gap between the two Shires.
The mountains in the background represent Mount Anthony and Mount Equinox, the protective guardians of Southwestern Vermont.
We hope you join with us as we celebrate, even in these tough times, that we are stronger together! We hope this logo and the consistent moving forward by this chamber, always onward, encourages you in your triumphs and challenges.
Stronger Together (and Happy Friday!),
The SWVT Chamber Team
